Hardware Repair

 

Laptop power connector(DC jack) repair – DC jack can be either broken or loose and it requires resoldering it to the motherboard. We have great soldering skills and right equipment to do the job. Estimated repair cost: $70 parts and labour.

Laptop hinge repair - The hinge might be broken and needs to be replaced or we can make a temporary fix with your existing broken hinge if possible. Estimated repair cost: $35 per hinge and $50 labour.

Computer overheating - Heat is the major reason why components fail. When computer cooling system malfunctions or fails, the computer shuts down or restarts automatically. To avoid this situation, the system must be thoroughly cleaned with safe materials. Don’t try to clean your cooling vents with a vacuum cleaner. Cleaning cost: $40 for desktops, $60 for laptops. Estimated cost to replace a cooling fan for both laptops and desktops: $90 parts and labour + full cleaning.

Laptop keyboard replacement - keyboard can fail due to many reasons with the most common one is liquid spilled on it. In this case keyboard needs to be replaced. Estimated replacement cost: $60 to $90 parts and labour.

Missing or broken laptop keyboard keys - We can replace only individual keys, not the whole keyboard which can save you money. Keyboard key price is $12 each including installation.

Dead Motherboard Repair(no power as a result of faulty circuit components or liquid damage) - We put a motherboard through a very rigorous testing to locate the source of a problem. We don’t even open the computer case until we know the likely cause of a problem. You can be rest assured that we do our work safely and with knowledge. No guesses! Did someone else tell you that your motherboard is not repairable? Have us take a look! You can save hundreds by repairing instead of replacing. Estimated repair cost: $150 parts and labour.

Fuzzy or intermittent video - sometimes you might see funny and distorted lines or images on the laptop screen. This can be fixed either by reballing the graphic chip or replacing it. We do serious reballing, not just a temporary fix and we have the right equipment to do so. We use only new video cards for replacement. Estimated repair cost(reballing): $145 to 195$ parts and labour. Estimated replacement cost: $150 to $280 depending on laptop model.

Dim or black laptop LCD screen repair - This might be the cause of bad inverter or backlight bulb. We can safely replace these components. Estimated repair cost for inverter: $60 to 80 parts and labour. Estimated repair cost for backlight: $115 parts and labour.

Broken laptop LCD panel - We find the right LCD screen and install it with a 100% success rate. Estimated replacement cost: $85 to $150 for parts and labour depending on laptop model.
